So the hydro shield is included? Cause I never got one when I ordered mine.

BTW, have any of you guys notice a whistling sound coming front the intake? Kinda like a turbo sound

I had been thinking about having the Injen CAI down there. With a good filter it's not going to be an issue but overtime there will still be moisture that accumulates that goes in your engine and that kind of scares me.

Had the same filter on my injen intake on my cobalt, even lower to the ground than the one in my camaro, for over 2 years now.

car still runs better than new.

and the cobalt doesn't even have the prefilter (hydroshield) that I have on the camaro's intake.

and no, the hydroshield doesnt come with the intake, you have to order it seperately. I think it's in the neighborhood of $27.

Got this email this morning, HydraShield usually comes shipped with the CAI

"Dear me,

Thank you for your order shipment inquiry. After checking the details with our
manufacturing partner, we have confirmed that the HydraShield is usually shipped
along with the Injen Power-Flow Cold Air Intake System. The items are normally
packaged together in the same box. "

If you sent in the rebate, there was the offer for a free hydro shield. No it was not in the box, mine came separate, since I contacted autoanything after the I sent in the rebate for $15.00

As for the whistle sound, yes there is a whistle that comes during take-off. Once I am above 2500- 3000 rpm I do not hear it anymore. But I have to have the windows down and the radio off to notice it. It does not bother me.

Ill let you know once i get it, if it doesn't come ill then send in the rebate before the end of the month.

You my friend, just bought one helluva set-up. Thats what I have own mine and these two together makes this car fly.
