Storage tips
Getting ready to put my car up for two months ( i know :( ) on Sunday. Going back home out of country and will be camaro-less for two whole months...
Just wondering what all I should do to get it prepared for storage besides cleaning her good and taking the battery out. Any advice would be helpful, thanks! |

Its only 2 months, but you may consider taking the weight off the tires (with jack stands). Also, add fuel stabilizer to keep the gas fresh.
One more... block the tail pipes to keep the critters out, and keep a cover over it. Last edited by Patriot; 06-17-2010 at 01:26 PM. |

Nothing...It is only two months. It is not like six months or more or through the dead of winter.

The last 12 years I was in the Air Force I'd go TDY all the time for AT LEAST 2 months at a pop (usually 3 or 4, sometimes 5) once or twice a year. I never, ever did any sort of prep to any of my cars before I left.
I just made sure the window's were rolled up, locked the doors & armed the alarm and then walked away.....that's it. I did that over 12 years and 6 cars with no issues at all. I never even needed to jump any of them.
