Looking for my new car.
Hey all! I just joined the site to get some input before I order my car in about 3 weeks. I have a dealer looking for a 1SS in Rally Yellow with manual trans. The part that I am still quetioning is where to send it for the upgrades, have looked at Callaway, SLP, Lingenfelter, and Hennesey. Looking at the 575-600hp packages that all of them have, just not sure where yet. Anyone here have experience with any of them? Good, bad, or otherwise?
Thanks for your input. Jason |

Why get a 2SS when it doesnt increase more power... 1SS sounds good, and yea, get the Upgrades. I dont have a SS myself... but I hear good things about Lingenfelter though!

You see what I am going for with the 1SS, to me the leather and bluetooth and stereo upgrades aren't worth the money. Hence the screen name I have chosen, on the outside this car will look no different than any other SS on the street. |

I prefer to do my own thing when it comes to forced induction. Twin turbos under the hood. If I had to buy a kit, I guess I would buy a maggie but I have done that before. If I were going to send the car off.........well I wouldn't unless I wanted a brand name for some kind of bragging rights. Why pay over double for not enough?

im with you. while all the cars the op mentioned are nice they are overpriced for the name. save money plus get exactly what you want if you pick your own parts.

I third that motion. No reason to waste thousands sending to these shops unless you are a millionaire.

So basicly I am just going to get from you guys is being told that I should do this myself and pick and choose parts? Well, I could do that. But at the time I am extremely busy with starting my company and raising my 4 month old daughter. The vehicle I have now I did almost every thing on, the sleeper factor on it is way up there. I am also spending any spare time I do come accross restoring the 69 Chevelle my Dad left to me when he passed away 2 years a go.
If anyone has info they want to give on the companies I mentioned, or any like them that I may not know about please give it to me. If you just want to tell me to do it my self, come to Kansas and pick up a wrench and help me out. For those that gave good input, I thank you. Jason |
