Tony,
Nice documentation of the job. I tried doing mine 2 weeks ago and for the life of me I could not get the front strut 24MM bolts/nuts to break loose. I had an 18" breaker bar (about the longest I could get inside the fender well) and still couldn't get them to budge. I really did not want to use the air gun on it either. So its at the suspension shop today getting the Eibach Pro springs and sway bars put in. Should be ready in about an hour Don O

Don, then you definitely witnessed the "Gorilla" tight statement I mentioned, LOL. Those two bolts were TIGHT. We did the install with hand tools on purpose, to see if it was a task that anyone could do. I had air tools handy, but we didn't use them.
g-townmach, pics with the 22s maybe next week. I needed the car to look kinda stock in this article, to give a more accurate visual to those contemplating the mod. D1BADZ, those 4th gen front struts are fun, right? Those easily test fire about 40 feet across the concrete, lol.

Not everyone has air tools. Obviously you can do it faster with air tools but to make the writeup work for the majority of the "do it yourself" type, hand tools were used as they're more common in the garage for most.
The 24mm were VERY tight. Need a good breaker bar for sure! |

We couldn't find the recommended GM torque specs, but I will dig them up based on bolt size/grade.

Hey everyone, just wanted to follow up Tony's great write up with a link to our website where we have our own install procedure document, as well as a link to Tony's write up. Let us know if there are any questions! Thank you.

This is an excellent write up. Used it today ad swapped out everything in 3 hours in my garage using jack stands. I put the 1" Eibachs on and the stance it PERFECT! Don't be afraid of this install because it' cake. Along the same skill level as an intake!
Thanks for writing this! |

Thanks for the info, installed my eibach pros today. I like the stance, I was kind of worried after I bought them, that there would not be enough drop.
