that sucks!

We have a pine tree in our yard and a few weekends ago we had a big storm and the wind was rediculous. Blew a bunch of sap out of the tree (I'm guessing pinecones covered in sap) and they landed on the car in 6-7 spots. That was a PITA to clean off... felt like I was going to scrub right through the paint.

hopefully PDR can fix it (looks like it should) and its not too expensive

Well, The mobile PDR Man - John from Dent Masters, couldn't easily figure out how to get the headliner off to gain access to the underside of the roof.

The offending dents are right about where the passenger side coat hook is - John looked, but couldn't figure out how to remove the coat hook, so here's a question for the board;

How does (or can) the coat hook detach?

or

How does the headliner detach in the rear passenger area
?
TIA!

Better wear a helmet in the parking lot, those things could cause a concussion..

That's a big ass pinecone! Down here we have to watch out for falling coconuts. Those leave huge dents.

*Edit* Too late; I see you found the videos in your other thread.

Watch the videos in this link:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ntenna+removal

Although the subject is changing out an XM antenna, it has all you need to know about detaching the headliner and coat-hooks.

If u have comprehensive on your insurance, then something falling on your car and leaving a dent will be fixed at no cost to u! that is if u have no deductible on your comprehensive

Falling objects are considered a comp claim. However, if the cost of repair is relatively inexpensive then claiming it would be a waste of your time plus you would now have a comp claim on your policy.

ohhhhhh SNAP! don't think i've seen a red Camaro around the 'wood. it's hard as hell to keep a car clean around here unless you cover it everyday. dirty-ass trees dropping pollen and leaves everywhere, all year... mexican gardeners mowing dirt patches every other day...

AMEN Brother!

I live next to a School that has a Baseball Field on the opposite side of the wall where I park, so I get over-spray from sprinklers (hard water deposits), occasional errant baseballs during the season, dust and grass when they mow, not to mention the Kix-like seeds, pollen, sap and leaves from our Ficus Trees.

Not living around Pine Trees, I never thought about one maliciously dropping pine-cones on my baby.

Under constant siege!

...so much for keeping the Camaro in as pristine condition as possible.

Now that the mystery of removing the headliner has been solved,
the PDR Man will stop by soon to tackle the dents.

Thanks for all the advice offered so far.

Sigh!
