I actually have the motorized / remote control license plate mount. I love it, I have the best of both worlds, legal for the roads and hidden when people take pics of my car at shows. Unfortunately here in NY, if you park your car in a lot and a metermaid or cop sees no plate, you're the proud winner of a ticket. So for the price of a ticket, I did the Show 'n Go plate. I orginally did the zip tie route but got concerned about the plate mount damaging the paint, so it came off.

If you like this and can or know someone who can do the fabricating I can give instructions to guide you through it.Here is a link with pics of what needs to be done. Front plate mount mod.

there are many options out there, but again...#1 don't drill any holes. #2 don't spend even $30 to install to your car. There are far too many essentially free options with one noted above that look just as good as the $100 option

No plate here in NJ. Been 11 months and no problems yet. I did have two cops warn me about my rear plate frame covering on the New Jersey letters. Both time they never even said anything about no front plate lol. I guess if I ever get pulled over for it I would ask "Would you drill holes in it if it was you baby" haha.

I have to agree with drtwo's post. Keep it under $30 if you really need to mount one. People are just insane with the cost of no drill frames.

Did not want to risk the ticket or drill holes so I made my own. It bolts to the underside, is very strong, height adjustible and is over a full license plate height lower than stock. It was alot of work but I like the look.

A fried of mine lives in down state NY & he has new camaro. We talked about the front plate & he ws concerned so I started counting cars awhile ago. For every camaro I see with a plate, I see 2 with no plate. All have NY plates. This is the in Albany NY Area. IN addition to this I've seen about newer 20 vettes, 2 mustanges, a truck, a minivan, and others with no front plate. All w/ NY back plates.
