ups:
-the camaro turns more heads. i got mine in august 2009 when they were brand new and i was literally the only one in my town at the time that had one, and it was practically a celebrity. no offense to OP but mustangs do not catch that type of attention. i had a blast driving around with all eyes on me. -i was very happy with the power of the car. 300+ horsepower in a V6 is great, throw in an air + exhaust and the thing has the sound to match the power. keep in mind the mustang v6 offered at the time had 210 HP, and the V8 only 315. i knew with some slight mods i'd have higher HP in my V6 than the V8 ford so it was a no-brainer downs: -lets be honest the car's a bit overweight. but perhaps i wouldn't say that if i had the SS -blind spots did indeed take some getting used to. definitely have to get comfortable and adjust. price you pay for the looks i guess -before i got a full magnaflow system the car's exhaust offers little in terms of sound. exhausts are quite necessary if you want the sound to match the power (at least in the V6) like i said, i was doing my shopping in 2009 and the mustang was not up to par. they're all over the road already as it is, the new style wasn't different enough from the old one, and the power was not in the same league. and imagine if i bought a 2010 mustang, when the 2011 comes out a year later with 100 more HP??? i would've flipped. so at the time it was an easy choice. |

I love my car. This Is my first car that everytime I drive it I smile or find excuses to drive it. My only complain is headroom space and the blindspots in the back.

This is what I like to see, everyone getting along, no matter the car they drive.
Camaro Pros: Exterior Styling Retro Interior HUD LS motors are hard haulers! Better buy (when equally equipped) Colors (IMO) Standard Brembos Camaro Cons: Cheap interior plastic Boring passenger dash No full power seat on passenger side Heavy Back up lights look like whiskers to me |

I like the new Mustangs, I had an '05 before my Camaro. But... the Camaro blows it away in the looks department. Everywhere I got people give me thumbs up or ask me about the car. The things I do not like about the Camaro is the location of the rear backup lights and I think the SS should have came with large new style SS emblems in place of the bowties. (still waiting on aftermarket for those).
I wish I could afford both, I want a 5.0 in Sterling Grey. But I would make it look like this in order to compete with the Camaros styling lol http://www.stillen.com/media_files/2...mustang_05.jpg

Prior to my Camaro, I owned 3 Mustangs. Started with a 1999 GT, then a 2004 GT and finally a 2007 GT. I loved each and every one of those cars, and dumped far more money into them than I am willing to admit. With that said, and I am being honest, I never felt the way I feel about my Camaro with the Mustangs. After the initial purchase high wore off, they were just cars (all be it, nice ones). Now, after 7 months of ownership, I still grin when I open my garage. I still find reasons to go outside and look at my car. I still love my car the way I did the day I drove it off the lot.
Now, this is not a quantifiable difference... it is a feeling, which is 99% of a car enthusiast's reason for purchasing their preferred model. Its a feeling I never had with the Mustangs and a feeling that puts the Camaro in a class of it's own. |
