I concur... your fault. Watch were you're going. I try to leave a good foot between the front/rear of my car and the curb.

Who backs all the way up until they hit the curb anyway? I never back my car up to the curb for this very reason, I don't want to scrape my car. Try keeping a foot of space between your car and the curb.

I appreciate the comments although some are more appreciated than others. ive accepted that its my fault and im responsible, i guess i was hoping for some kind of compensation from the school maybe help me pay it off. I tried popping in the diffuser a little better and its definitely better now.
my backup sensors didn't do anything and i was using the side view mirror tilted down. i always back up so my tires are about a foot away from the curb i guess its just a bad habit. im always very careful with my car thats why i parked in this spot further away from others and i took the corner spot so that no one could park on one side of me. this is just an unfortunate situation because i couldn't see that piece behind me.
Thanks everyone.

Who parks to deep, screws their car up and then wants to blame the curb or the guy that owns the curb. I bet the curb is broken from other noobs that don't know how to park.

suck it up and pay. It blows but you drove back to far. I wish I could say other wise but it is what it is. It could have been worse at least the estimate isn't $1000. :(

new diffuser sells on ebay from slp for like $50 - shouldnt be too hard to unscrew the old one and screw a new one in there. definitely not worth spending to have the dealer do it.

yeah i was looking at that but i saw the shipping price was $45 and its not even a new part. as far as the installation goes i would do it myself anyway its not worth $150 to have someone else do something i could take care of in a few hours or less.. good looks though

+1 easy guys everyone has definitely done something wrong with their car and if not when they do im sure you will be really upset and frustrated. No one like to blame their self for something like this believe me it sucks when YOU urself do something to your beloved camaro.

I for one do not park my Camaro over a curb for just that reason. Even if the curb is not sticking up crazy it is sometimes hard to tell exactly how high it is. I have found that the best way to not scrape up the bottom of the car is to not park it over anything, I stop where the front or back is just short of the curb or sidewalk. Sorry to say but I would say it is completely your fault.

+1, Same thing happened pulling my old, lowered Mustang forward into a spot at a Chic-Fil-A; chunk of curb had fallen off and was laying in the parking spot. Can't believe I didn't see it, it was bright orange $250 in paintwork later it was good as new.

Holy Crap! I agree with what he said above. How many more people are going to post a lesson in parking our cars for us? I think he gets it - don't you think?? Anyway, I would contact my insurance company for sh$ts and giggles and see if maybe they will contact the school on your behalf to see if they will assist. A call from them will go further than a call from you. You never know. Good luck. Rob
