Soccer was invented by European ladies to keep them busy while their husbands did the cooking.

Easily one of the most boring sports in the world.

"Oh look, that team has the ball and they're kicking the ball that way. Oh look, now the other team has the ball and they're kicking the ball that way. Oh look, now the first team has the ball and they're kicking the ball that way. Oh wait, now the ball's just kinda being bounced around the middle."

*20 minutes later*

"Oh look, that team's getting close to the goal, maybe they'll score! Oh wait, the goalie stopped the ball. Looks like we're back to kicking it back and forth."

the only people who hate on soccer are the ones who've never played. its a fun game if your not lazy. i think it sucks that we lost it to a country whose pop. is 1/3 that of new york city AND who have never even QUALIFIED for the games

I played in gym class throughout grade school and high school and the only fun part about it was when class was over.
