Can I switch the hurst shifter with the stock one?

I am getting my car today and it has the hurst short throw shifter in it.
Is it possible for me to replace the shifter itself and the stalk back with the stock one but keep the short throw?
I don't like the way the hurst looks

The hurst comes with a black stick so you can use the stock knob. the stock one wont fit the hurst short shifter.

I haven't seen the stock one but you should be able to go back to the stock shaft.

However.....I'll tell you to go get a MGW installed and get the Race Knob with it. You'll love it.

is it an aftermarket hurst shifter? If that is the case shoot me a PM I have the aftermarket hurst shifter and I will trade you. I still have the factory upper stick that came with mine just sitting in my garage.

What CamaroCowboy said. If the car is used and has the aftermarket Hurst with the flat chrome stick and white ball all you have to do is remove the console panel and boot and remove the two bolts that holds the flat stick on. You can then replace it with the factory style upper that comes with the kit and replace your stock ball. If you don't have the factory upper and stock ball. Work out a deal with CamaroCowboy. Most people prefer the old school look so there should be plenty of parts around.

I'm also wondering if it's the factory hurst or not. I have the factory version and I love it, mostly because it looks exactly like the stock shifter minus the badges on the side. Very discreet

Its the factory one from a 2011. I haven't seen it yet, I was assuming it was the one with the long stick and white ball on top... I don't like that look at all.
However, reading above I see its not that style? I tried searching before making this thread but just kept finding the white ball style.

the factory HURST looks just like the stock shifter but it has a small H on the side.

Aftermarket kit has both. If you don't have the stick for the stock knob, someone here will sell or donate to you.
