isn't there a add on that you can put in your CAI tubing that's supposed to increase your MPG and give you like 1/2 hp? i wanna say that it's called tornado. just like a little fan that you put into your tubing and that's it.

it's not much, but with gas prices climbing pretty much by the hour we need all the help that we can get!! But of course the best way to keep your gas mileage down is to have a feather foot. The only problem is I've never been one to have a light foot so if i even get on the highway cruise control for sure!!

Anything that would add more air would require more fuel to prevent a lean mixture.

I had one years ago. Basically a vacuum gauge. Drive where you have the highest vacuum reading and thats where the best mpg is. Really is a good reminder tool to watch how much gas pedal you use.

My new 2LT arrives this Thursday. One thing I did to make sure this car was a fit for me was to rent one for 4 days. At Hertz it's an extra $40 a day but I figured it was an investment.

Camaro was a 2010 1LT (V6). ~18K miles. Oct'10. Temp in 40's to 50's. Drove from Chicago to Minneapolis to Milwaukee and back to Chicago. ~1,000 miles, most of it interstate. I set the cruise 5mph above the speed limit, 70 in some places, 75 in a few others. I had a couple of in-city customer sales calls in each city.

Filled up 3 times. I assumed the 1st tank at Hertz was reg grade, I filled with mid-grade other 2 fill ups.

30.1mpg by the Camaro DIC console, 29.6mpg by my calculations on the 3 fill ups. That's with combined ~80% hwy/20% city.

Now that's no bull!

Sold me on the V6 Camaro with gas getting ready to hit $4 a gallon by this Memorial Day....

Don't waste your cash on the tornado. Look it up. It was tested.

So, if I'm not seeing these higher mpg's, does anyone think I should be worried?
I only have a CAI, power scoop and oil catch can installed at the moment.
