Road (Track or Lap) Racing Lessons in Toronto

Has anyone done any racing or race car control courses in Ontario, Canada? I'm very interested in doing this throughout the spring / summer months for hobby purposes. Which schools did you use, and what was your experiences based on vehicles they had (or did you use your own), their rates, track time and the quality of the training?

Moved to the Canada section, I think it might get a few more responses from locals here. I'll move it back to driving techniques if you want though

I've done Mosport a bunch of times the last 2 seasons. The sessions were put on by Apex. Check link...
http://www.apexdriving.ca/about.html
I organize a group of cars to go a few times a year to go at a little better rate. It was really hard to get our Camaro brothers to come out for some reason??

I will be posting up a thread later to try to organize another one.

It sure is fun passing Ferrari's, Porsche's, Lambo's, Mustangs!!

Come to the CASC open house on Apr. 10 in Newmarket at CSC Racing, 125 Harry Walker Parkway North. Here, you can join a CASC affiliated club and if you've never been on a track before, sign up for the 2 day track school on May 14-15 at the Mosport DDT. At the open house, you can also sign up for the 1 day school on Mosport's Grand Prix track, held on July 9 or the 2 day race school at Shannonville on Apr.23-24. I would recommend these only if you've had previous track experience - Mosport's Grand Prix track is not a forgiving track and isn't the best place to lose your "track virginity" while the race school would be geared to experienced lappers who want to get involved in more competitive events.
Keep in mind that you must be a member of a CASC affiliated club in order to sign up for these events. http://www.casc.on.ca/

As well, you can contact Ian Law through his website
http://www.carcontrolschool.com/wordpress/schedule/
or email him at ianlaw@carcontrolschool.com
to sign up for his 1 day track schools scheduled for Mosport's DDT on
July 30th, August 27th, Oct 2nd or Oct 23rd.

You can also get in touch with the BMW Trillium Club and check out their schools, which are open to all makes.

There's a start for you. Have fun!

Best regards,

Elie

I've ordered my Pedders suspension bushes and endlinks so my car will be ready to hit the track in the spring.

Like your car needs anymore reasons to go faster around that track.

I'm in again this year if it's organized, just depending what day and if I have to work.
