Make sure that he removes your hood before repair! Well, at least can adequately bag the car. I speak from experience here. What shoulda/coulda been a small repair can turn into huge overspray issues and many many more headaches!

Good luck and congrats on your 'expecting' arrival!

Good luck, hope this works out. Sounds kinda cheap, sometimes cheap is not the best.

OP; you need to get this fixed now. If left alone it will spread and cost you a couple thousand to repaint the whole hood. If fixed asap, a good painter can just sand down the damage and immediate area and fix it for a few hundred.

couple of thousand to paint a hood? What are they gonna do a massive air brush job? repaint the hood should be 350-500 at most....

I wish. This wouldn't even cover the cost of materials.

And post pics of the repair, plz.

Congrats on the expected baby. Those rear facing seats will be a bear in the backseat and may cause some friction with the Mrs. (Don't use the base and your wife will let you keep the car)

Haven't taken any pictures but I will. The pollen has started to pick up so the car needs a wash. But the crack was sanded down and then some body filler. Paint and clear.

Thanks. We're just at 20 weeks. So far so good...! We're looking in to different car seats and travel packages. That trunk is a lot smaller than I though it'd be but I'm sure we'll make it work..!
