At least it was caught quick enough, that would have been devastating and 100% out of pocket to fix.

Naa. He would have had a bunch of smoke out the exhaust and an unhappy tranny. As long as he realized it quickly, it would have been ok. I saw someone who didnt drain both oil plugs on a Z06. It turned out fine.

I'm a little surprised that the engine turns over with 16 quarts of oil. I hope you didn't damage the starter motor...

Thread is clear. He drained the tranny thinking it was the oil and added oil ending up with 16 quarts of oil in the engine.

What a bummer. And this was not the first time, he admitted, he made this mistake. Double bummer.
