agressive mode

My car seems to have and agressive mode (me). What i'm talking about is when I get really agressive on the on/off ramps in Sport, the car seems to hold the gears longer, and does not shift up as quick, and then when i start getting on the brakes hard it downshifts. I'm just wondering is there another mode in this thing. This is with just the car in sport mode.

i believe i read something in the manual about the driving style - indicated by throttle - telling the transmission to hold the gears out longer?

I believe its called "performance lift mode" at least that's what it is in the G8 manual. The car senses you're driving aggressively and acts accordingly. If you want to get out of it quickly, just go to D and back to S.

Car Manual does say something about it. I have noticed that myself if I drive aggressive (on the throttle hard) the car will want to stay driving that way.

When I stopping it down shifts and then lets go like it is shifting out of the aggressive gearing.

2010 camaro owners manual page 8-28

While driving in M (Manual Mode), if Tap Shift has not been activated, the transmission determines when the vehicle is being driven in a competitive manner and will select and hold the transmission in lower gears and have more noticeable upshifts for sportier vehicle performance.

I just noticed mine doing this a few weeks ago. I was on a curvy road, and I was driving aggressive. The car was a beast. Then when I quit, it went back to regular run of the mill driving. My question is, why wont it do this faster? I mean, why does it take a little bit for the computer to realize what to do? Because when I go to sport mode, I want it to react when the S is illuminated. I do not want to have to drive aggressive to make it do it.

That's where you would need a Trifecta Tune. Tranny can be programmed to shift differently, but expensive, something around $600.00.
