theis is a price gouging dealer and want 2K deposit to order.
They argue thats the market value price structure
Crazy land Tombal Texas
GM should take there alocations to the end of production or loose the orders for theives
GM cant aford this dealers, mentality in this economic times and should put a leash on them.

I placed my first order with Win Kelly Chevrolet in Clarksville, Maryland back in October. At the time they were unwilling to talk pricing, which wasn't surprising. For some reason I had a bad feeling about the place from the very beginning. But as time went by and more and more information became available my bad feeling turned out to be justified. The guy I was trying to work with is either a completely clueless idiot or he's up to something shifty. When I tried to get him to agree to MSRP he kept insisting that wasn't what "the market" was going to be when the car comes in. He kept mentioning 3K over MSRP as his "example". He even gave me this big song and dance about how they aren't going to be building SS models any time soon so he didn't know if I'd even get my car. I tried to educate him based on the extensive knowledge available on this forum to which he replied "I don't pay any attention to what they say on the forums." Get this - his business card lists him as the "Internet Sales Manager". What a moron! I gave him one last warning before going to another dealer and placing my order there. When I stopped by to cancel my original order he said he could give me my deposit back but he couldn't cancel the order in GM Workbench. I checked today and the order still hasn't been cancelled. I have GM customer service looking into it from their end. I hope this guy gets burned big time if indeed he's up to something. To sum up, STAY AWAY FROM WIN KELLY CHEVROLET in Clarksville, Maryland. There are better dealers out there. I am now very confident and excited to know that I'll actually be getting my 2SS/RS in IOM even though I may have to wait an extra month or two. Switching dealers was the best decision I could make and I did so based on feedback from this forum. Many thanks!

Pleasure to meet you Damien! I finally found a dealer in my area who will not mark up the camaro! I went to Folsom Chevrolet yesterday to ask about it, the salesman told me it would probably be around $5,000 mark up on it. I was like OMG! Why!! he said it's new... give me a break in times like these when GM NEEDS to be selling lots of cars, they can't have mark up like that, especially on the camaro! They have this moment in history to make history and dealers that add ridiculous markups are going to make things worse if you ask me! I am happy to hear that, John L Sullivan has a decent reputation here... Folsom not so much. I guess I will be making the drive to Roseville, not bad, I was willing to fly somewhere and drive it home LOL. When I come in to see you can I say I saw you on CAMARO5?

Another kudos to Damien.. My wife and I drove up there last week to order our CGM 2SS/RS and it's at MSRP.....Worked out to like 36,750 before tax and it's pretty much loaded with leather, sunroof.. everything except the 21's which are way overpriced... damien is a stand up guy and great to work with. I had a bad experience the night before at Woodland Chevrolet in Woodland CA....

Do not go there.... dealer name is Freddy... didn't even make the appointment time and left 30 minutes before our agreed upon time even though I drove 40 minutes to get up there.... A-hole.....

then his buddy said pricing isn't available yet. I'm like Uhhh okay it's beena vailable for like 2 months.... and he's like Oh..... starts tapdancing and stuff.... clueless.... he was shifty when it came to MSRP and gave me a bad feeling...

Damien Tipper FTMFW!!!!! that's teh basic point of this post...

Ourisman Chevy in Bowie, MD is asking 'market price', but won't give it over the phone. Oddly, Ourisman Rockmont Chevy in Rockville, MD (about 45 minutes away) is asking MSRP and has allocations as of March 7.

Camaro pricing

The dealer I ordered from has said I will have first option to purchase the Camaro SS 2 l99 that I have ordered. This sounds to me like they will put it up for the highest bid.

The fact is that if you don't have a signed purchase agreement your going to see some dealers try this. Since they could not order "stocK" they will play with the sold orders.

If you have any paperwork I would suggest that you write a letter to GM.

I don't know if it will help but it will let them know about a bad situaton.

GM needs to sell cars and have happy customers.

Good luck, I hope you get the car.

Robin
