Like I said, we will see... just because they make the same peak power means nothing! How much time do you spend at the track? I am not saying that this car cant beat the camaro, but just because they make same same peak power does not mean they will be neck and neck on the top end!

Heres an example of how cars making the same peak power, but one pulls harder on the top end!
My olds...468ci 530hp peak at 5600rpms/ runs avg. 11.60 1.60 60ft @ 111-113 2010 camaro LS3 , add headers and cold air.. flywheel hp is about 490@ 5900 The camaro still turns at lest 112mph ( matches the more powerfull olds) but slower in the 1/4 at mid to low 12s. The reasone MPH is the same even though the camaro makes LESS power is becuse its usable peak power hangs on longer, it might peak at 5900 but it still pulls hard to 6500! Over shifting helps make faster Et's because the engine breaths so well and at high RPMs the motor is still pulling like bull! My olds with MORE power, after 5600rpms peak power... power falls off Fast! Over shifting slows the car down, I would short shift 1-2 at 5100rpms and the car was faster! But the olds make so much usable power /torque from 3000-5600 that at the 60ft and 1/8th mile the car is a monster, but topend suffers because of the dip in power after peak! Match the LS3 at 530hp and topend will be much faster then my olds, and will start to play catch up in the top half of the track, but it will NEVER 60ft or 1/8th mile the same!

I don't spend a lot of time at the drags (anymore), but I do a lot of road racing and I tune a hell of a lot of subarus and I can tell you without a doubt in my mind that if you put me or any competent driver behind the wheel of a 370whp sti of ANY KIND, any turbo, any combo available, it would turn 11's at the very least 115-116. Those are lowball numbers. For reference, stock STi's put down only 240-250awhp and the same in torque, but turn mid-low 13s @103-104 with a good driver. What do you think that car is capable of with 120+ more hp on tap and, with the bigger turbo, an even more usable power curve? |

I truly dont know sh&t about STI's I been building and racing American V8s for 15 years... that was just an example of how two cars making the same PEAK power will run completely different! If those STI's do what you say then ya... the camaro is done for, but thats not what my point was. If a camaro was to 60ft in the 1.60s then your looking at a 10 sec car! My car 60ft in the 1.60s when it ran 12s! The camaros running low 12s with bolt on's are trapping good speed and have great top end pull, but 60ft is horrible!

I still miss my STI, tried to purchase a new one a couple weeks ago. After test driving, it just didn't steal my heart like my 06 did... Test drove the 2SS the same day and it was a wrap... no looking back!

I was wrong.
So my friend brought he last dyno sheet in and when I looked at it the numbers didnt match what I told you guys. He is making 277hp to the wheels with 304ft/lb of torque. I just got my bolt on mods, dyno and tune by East Coast Supercharging done yesterday. I am making 365.9 rwhp and 407.7lb/gt of torque. His was done with 17lbs of boost, his setup is Cobb Catted Turbo Back, SPT Intake, DW750cc Injectors and a tune by EFI Logics. So with the new and correct info what do you guys think. Sorry for saying the wrong numbers before. I must not have been paying attention when he told me.

That is if he isn't trying to low ball you with the dyno sheet.

You should have him. I'm assuming it was on a dynojet? At 17 lbs, those numbers seem about right. He'll probably pull you until about the 1/8th mile marker, then you'll freight train past him in the back half.

I don't now man, I own an 2011 Impreza WXS STI 100% stock and the car is fast. The one thing you need to do is to make sure your camaro hooks, if you do, than you should be fine, but if you don't than you will be in trouble...

they have a mustang dyno, no telling how its set up. So it could be higher the dynoJet #'s or could be much lower. From what Iam thinking he should trap 108-110 and be low 13s or high 12's . 370whp in a SS should be what 112 ish mph and a good launch could put you at high to mid 12's.
