If it's not a mustang ,it's a Nissan altima or maxima every 5 minutes.I owned 2 mustangs from 2000-20009 and although I got looks in those cars,I never got the attention I get in this car.I still think they are nice rides, but they have become to generic.

I think Car and Driver and Motor Trend get money from Ford. Back when they were writing about the 4th gen vs the previous body style mustang they bashed it too. And the 4th gen was even more superior as far as power and handling go than the 5th gen vs the new mustang is today. The difference was so vast that the mustang almost shouldn't of been in the same class as the 4th gen. But the 4th gen had a subpar interior and the bump in the passenger floorboard so the mustang was better... Whatever, let the performance and sales figures speak for themselves.

its so funny to see people reactions here. very bias camaro forum. guys the new mustangs out performs our camaros stock for the most part. why is that so hard to understand. my friend has been putting money into his 5.0L getting greater gains that i get with same mods. the car is lighter, engine responds great to mods, the car sounds great and looks great. i got a camaro because i like the looks better than mustangs. but still love mustangs. geez why cant people like all cars and give credit where its due.

Im a prospective Camaro buyer and not a prospective Mustang buyer bc the Camaro is gorgeous and the Mustang simply is not, inside and out. Plus, Ive always liked how GMs drive compared to Fords. (Between myself and my Dad we've owned like 3 of each in the last 8 years and I just like the GMs drive)
As far as everything Ive ever seen about comparing Camaro Vs Mustang, the Camaro is the better handling vehicle as well. |

The pic alone says it all for me - Camaro's looks make it the winner, so I don't need to read the article, LoL!!

Its been said time after time, the Camaro platform is just too damn heavy and large. Hence why the next generation will be on a completely new, smaller platform to be shared with the 2013 Cadillac ATS. It will save hundreds of pounds, shrink the car's overall dimensions, and allow for better fuel economy and handling. |
