500rwhp is plausible going the H/C route. The 231/239 Cam Shaft selected for the Camaro in the vid merely had .080" P to V clearance. I don't doubt that we could have been on the high side of 490/500 with a larger Cam working with the stock intake. But it was something we do not want to chance without having valve reliefs in the pistons. I'm well aware that many are running larger cam shafts w/o any known issues of PtoV clearance however, it may be a different story once the heads are pulled. We choose reliability over a chance of crashing a piston into a valve and still make good power.

Working on it now, finally sent car to the shop. Keeping fingers crossed, the only issue I see is I have 22's on it.

There are a handful of people that are over the 500 rwhp mark.

All the minor details have to be done to get a N/A car close to 500. Pause the video and check out the bolt-ons. Good stuff here. I know Jet is right there knocking on the door too.

Interesting... would be nice to know what else was done to this car besides LG X3 cam, LT's and Hennessey CAI.

The car in this thread made really good power... and very close to 500 with a conservative cam... A build to be proud of...

car in this thread made pretty good power, esp for the size of the cam... any other members on cam5 have this setup?

Nothing else was done to the car. I did the tuning on it. Made that power with the factory upgrade 21's.
Its a factory freak car. Made 382rwhp completely stock.

Sam,

You're tuning for LG? Do you guys end up fly cutting for the G6X3 cam?

Thanks,

Randy

I installed the parts and tuned this car. LG simply used the video to show the potential.
No need to flycut for this cam with stock unmilled heads. It has plenty of room.

I'm not exactly sure what the G6X3 cam spec's are(reason I asked). I've done a brief search on that particular cam and from what I've read it seems to be in the neighborhood of mid 230/mid 240 duration on a 11XLSA on idk which lobe profile..?? Top secret I suppose ? Anyways, well done and nice power .

That guess is close. The specs are on Corvette Forum if you search for it.
