The IRS diff on the Camaro looks the same as the one on my '05 Magnum and the wife's '06 Charger, and I lifted both using the diff and the crossmember just behind the radiator for 5 years....

Lifted our Camaro twice so far the same way...

Those pic's are going to be very helpful. I've got new wheels/tires coming and also going to install my BMR lowering springs while the wheels are off. Hope there won't be any issues.

Mine did not. No jack at all.

I have to wonder just how many Camaro frames that posting has saved!

My deepest thanks, to both of you.

If you want to be super anal about making sure all of the oil is out of the engine, let it drain overnight.

where it says the floor jack points are in the back. is that lifting one side at a time or putting the floor jack on one of those circle things lift up the entire back end?

i am still very nervous to do this, my first car and dont want it falling or anything. i want to paint my calipers!

For the rear, lift one side at a time at the body mounts (those circle things). Make sure you chock the front wheels since the E-brake only holds the rear brakes leaving the front wheels free to turn.

I'd just say this is anal... Super anal would be doing a full flush... have fun with that!

How about just buying a set of ramps? That will make it really easy.
