OK, I checked the resistor pack I used. It's 2.2K ohms, denoted by three red stripes. Radio Shack part # 271-1121.
It's a good, cheap fix until you get a custom tune (with that hot cam!) when the stupid skip-shift can be eliminated completely from the programming.

nope, only on the 6 speed manual equipped V8s. auto transmission SS cars are exempt of it.
