So I was on my way to the dentist and I was running late. I get off the freeway and notice a cop with its lights on behind me. I have only been pulled over once before in my life so I did not know what to do lol.

I pull over and the first thing he says is "Nice car, even though its not a Mustang"

Then he says he got on the freeway at the same street I did and he was about a half mile back and he could still hear my car. He told me my exhaust is too loud and its illegal. He didn't give me a ticket but he told me not to draw attention to myself. How am I not supposed to draw attention to myself in this car?

He was writing something on a little blue notepad as we talked. What do you think he was writing down? I know my car is loud but I didn't think it was that loud, where you could hear it on the freeway that far away. I guess no long tubes for me

Possibly making a note of your car and license's plate incase you get pulled over again?

well the good thing is you didnt get a ticket, but stinks that now you cant get long tubes.. but seriously.. how can you not draw attention with that car

I'm going to guess he was writting your plate number and a description of your car. He'll likely be listening for your car from here on out.

Muffler delete, shorty headers and catted midpipes

Lame, now I feel like I am always going to need to watch my rearview on the freeway

I do that anyways but it sucks

Here is a video, its kinda old but still sounds the same. Plus it was a cold start so it sounds a little louder...

Man, that sucks. It is CA, though, so I'm not surprised. Not really much you can do, unfortunately. Removing the mods is likely out of the question and not worth it IMO. Best you could do is not let it bother you and hope it doesn't happen again.

Beautiful car, btw.

First night I did my muffler delete, I got my one and only ticket in the Camaro.
Texas DPS was setting just off the exit ramp. Saw him back up on the interstate
in my rearview and pull me over. His first comment was, "I heard you coming a mile away"

I have been pulled over four times in the last three months. Three time it was by the LSP and they don't play. I always get a bunch of questions about the car, they run my information and LET ME GO. It is always some made up reason why they stop me. I am going to get a hard drive installed that I can us to record from the back up camera and and maybe a wireless mike as well.

I know these are nice cars and mine happens to be a red vert, but I really don't appreciate johnny law stopping me just to jaw about my car.
