Passed by The Mustang

I shouldn't have let off the gas @35 to let him go. Should have made him work harder for it.

Live and learn.

I thought of what I learned on the last session and ended forcing the S2000 to work a little too hard before I let him pass.

@3:02 someone forgot they are driving on a wet road.

I'd be pissed if I ever had to be on the same track as you. A track day is not a race, what's the point of holding up other cars that are obviously faster than you?

Awesome. This is what I'm preparing my vehicle for as well. I can't wait to get started, unfortunately have to wait until next season as I don't live in sunny Florida.
Looks like you had an amazing time.
I'm guessing you took courses first?

Didn't need one for the weather, but that is a mod I will need for May if I do anything then.

Ha...I wasn't trying to hold him up. There were times when I was ready to let him pass and I see that he's falling way behind. I tried to let other pass and see that I just wasted time as I passed them up a few minutes later.

You don't need a course...you just need to ride with an instructor until you have some seat time and know how to conduct yourself on the track. The club you do it with will charge normally around an extra 75 bux to have an instructor with you.

My first event was at Sebring a few years ago with an instructor and I had a blast.

Looks like you had a blast....Did you use the tap shifts? What coilover settings were you using?

I used the tap sometimes - still getting used to that.

Coilovers were 27/f & 23/r.

Going with 27/f & 25/r next time out.

Nice videos, but I can't believe the driver wasn't using manual paddleshifts instead of leaving it in auto mode... Using paddleshifts in the downshift mode would have helped braking and coming off the corners, plus it takes time off your lap for the transmission to downshift automatically. Still I would have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you for racing on the track, and not on the streets.
