Any official word yet on when the 2012 MY allocations will end for the ZL1? My dealer has only received a total of 2 allocations out of 6 so far
and I'm just wondering and not panicking yet.

My dealer has his first 2 built and his other two haven't been picked up yet.

well the letter today said they are pushing back the march cycle but not for how long.

If it is very long puch would think it has to affect the number of cycles unless they can play catch up in april and may.

I am now further kicking myself for not switching my order as I really though I would be picked up in the march 1-6 cycle and would not lose much time in relation to the delivery.

now who knows. I am third in line first two are in the QC hold.

Correction, Two on the ground and your next.

As you can see no real advantage, everyone's stuck in Oshawa.

yeah I know I am just whining. I just want to see some kind of forward progress on the order. not that it would mean much at this point.

Subject: Update on 2012 Camaro ZL1 Shipments and DOSP

The purpose of this note is to provide you with an update on 2012 Camaro ZL1 production and vehicle shipment plans.
All Camaro ZL1 models produced to date are currently being held by General Motors for a quality assessment. At this moment, the duration of the hold is undetermined, and may last a few more weeks. As soon as the hold is cleared, a note will be sent to all dealers to advise that 2012 Camaro ZL1 shipments are underway.
Because of the hold, the upcoming Dealer Order Submission Process (DOSP) cycle that was to be dedicated to ZL1 is being postponed. This DOSP cycle was scheduled to start this Thursday, March 1, 2012, and continues through Tuesday, March 6, 2012. A new date for this DOSP cycle will be provided in the near future.
We regret to have to undertake these actions, especially given the high anticipation for the new Camaro ZL1. We ask for your patience and will continue to keep you posted on any developments regarding production and vehicle shipments from Oshawa.

I wouldn't worry though, I am very sure GM just once to correct a few bugs.

Makes me wonder if they have found some kind of issue that needs to be addressed.

I would think even with the delays they have an idea of when they have to stop the allocations of the MY 2012, to make way for the MY 2013's.
My concern is dealers that were promised x amount of cars for MY 2012
maybe asked to reduce thier allocations due to unforseen circumstances.

mine is already built... but I feel your frustration and if I was in the same situation id be furious... I know its not GM's fault but this is just horrible news to hear....

I'm still at 1100 and keeping the faith that everything will work out for a MY2012 ZL1.

Not angry or upset etc, I've been waiting a long time to purchase a car
like this that has the looks, the power and sophistication that the ZL1
has. Another month or so is not an issue, but I really want the MY 2012
production run for nostolgia reasons.

Looks that way and the reason I didn't have a TPW but I consider it good news for me because now I know the car will not arrive until after my Surgery Apr. 6th. It's bad enough that all I will be able to do for 3-5 days after is look at my 2SS in the Garage, but I'd be cry'n, drooling and dragging my butt to get in the ZL1. LOL. I take it not as a setback, but the opportunity for GM to once again deliver me one outstanding ride for the 2nd time.

I feel the Frustration just as Drake does. It's been a long year waiting for the ZL1 while making friends along the way. I hope everyone hangs in there.
