He's coming out of a race car, so he has a skewed perception of the Camaro.
If you're used to running 10s & 11s at over 120 MPH (I don't know what his Monte did), then yeah, a Camaro will feel slow. But he's gonna a put a chip in his 'Maro and some 4.30 gears. Maybe he'll jack the back up to fit slicks under it and put skinnies on the front. Maybe he'll cut the exhaust in front of the rear axle and put turndowns on it. THEN it will truly be a 21st century car. |

The SS is not a hot rod. I thought I made it clear. It runs good, but it needs a few mods to run really good. To each his own. It needs at least another 100HP and a really good gear. My opinion and of course that of my wife. She drives it too and thats where the peppy comes in. She only thinks it as "peppy", not a true hot rod. It is a great cruiser and performs really good for what it is and was designed to do. Look at the dyno test results coming in from others.

have to say this is a bit dissapointing.. I was able to drive the v6 and that was more than "peppy" I thought it was outstanding for a V6 and been dieing to drive the SS but this doesn't sound promising....
