A First Gen Camaro will continue to increase in value assuming market conditions, normal corrections and overall health of the economy, with 1969 being the most desirable year. Add the RS option, which created one of the most iconic frontends of the muscle car era and beyond, and you have a highly sought after INVESTMENT.

You will lose $5k second you drive a 2012 ZL1 off the lot and it will take decades before currently produced ZL1's achieve collector status that the 60's and 70's muscle cars enjoy now.

Beautiful 69 BTW!

Sure does look good, since the car appears so original, I would put Z-28 valve covers on.

With all of the Z-28 features that it has, iIhave considered making it a Z-28.

Is anyone in Central Pa getting a 2012 ZL1? I really want to see 1.

Too bad you're in snow country. If you were in my area, you could sell off one of the DD's and buy a ZL1 as your DD. That way you could keep the 69 and use it for cruises and shows. My $.02.

I have thought about selling the SUV buying a POS 2 wheel drive pick up to start my savings towards a ZL1. The Taurus is a company vehicle so I drive it to and from work. I just need an evening and weekend car. Once my 2 teens are out of the house in a few years I can sell the SUV ..... except for those college expences. It looks like it might be 2018 or 2019 when i get my 2012 ZL1.

That ain't no horse and buggy!
OP, keep that car at all costs.

Beautiful 1st generation. You will never forgive yourself for letting this jewel get away! There will be plenty of time to explore the ZL 1 arena....and who knows what is on the drawing board! The competition will get plenty tough going forward.......and you gotta believe .......this is only the beginning!

Thanks guys. I was just doing some minor work on it tonight. It is so simple. I even pulled out my assembly manual to make sure that i didn't miss any thing.

The 69 looks great - keep it! Old muscle cars are not transportation, they are driveable connections to the past.

Personally I would think you are a fool to sell that thing for a ZL1.

That is the best quote that I have heard. It transports but is really a rolling work of art and mechanics.

In it or the Bug I have guys my age (40's) stopping with there kids are just happy to see old cars.

Yeah being original means theoretically that there are at most 6'999 other people out there with originals.

A little math......7000/world population = Why leave the .0001%?

That is exclusivity. Ouch!
