You have no clue what you're talking about.

GT500s are built in Flat Rock, Michigan on the same line with all the other Mustangs. Shelby only builds the GT350s and what ever other specialty cars they're building at the moment. SVT designed the car and Ford builds it. The Shelby name is used for marketing purposes only - there is nothing Shelby about the GT500.

You know, before you start accusing others of not knowing what they're talking about, you might want to buy a clue first.

Shelby had a bit of input, but that's as far as it went. The car was ultimately designed in house by SVT(Ford) and it is built in Flat Rock, Michigam. It's ultimately a marketing scheme used by Ford to license Shelby's name to sell cars. That's really all there is to it.

all chevy has to do to make it compete is change the pulley and tune dont think it needs retirement thats a stretch a big one

You cant say that just yet. The Shelby will make the Boss look silly on the track and i honestly think it will beat the ZL1 also.

I look at it like this. Yes the ZL1 will take the corners SLIGHTLY better than the Shelby but it will not be enough to overcome the brute hp and speed advantage the Shelby has. On a big track like the ring the Shelby is gonna put A LOT of distance on the ZL1. Yes it will make up some in the corners but now all of it. This is just my prediction but it can go either way.

And dont think for a second that there isnt aftermarket suspension components to make ALL these cars much better than factory form.

Its more than just ford paying shelby for his name, he did help a little bit in the development, but yes was built on the ford line with all other mustangs.

I am sorry, but I truly think you are high. What exactly is it that the ZL1 does on the track? In your life please provide me with an approximate amount of times that you have been on a road course or on a time attack track. The ZL1 has an AWESOME suspension setup, and yes it handles well. But the numbers do not lie. Give it time... Wait for the comparo's.

DA is not that difficult of a concept to understand....and yes, a sea level track has the opporutnity to offer great DA numbers. 2000 DA is not "bad" per se.......but it's certainly much better than many of the tracks that are not located along the the Gulf/East/West seaboards.

There's nothing to say, facts are facts. The GT500 is the better performing vehicle. Ford has won this round, let's hope the 6th gen can reclaim victory.
