Hey Cleveland!

So I'm here on business, in and around the airport. What are some "must do" activities while I'm here. Everyone is saying I should see the Rock and Roll HOF and I'm considering that. So what else should I check out?

I'm not a partier so club scene is not necessary. I just want to see cool parts of the city, not necessarily cliche stuff.

I've got a Kia Rondo rental and I'm just dying to put some quality miles on it.

It's too damn cold. I showed up in shorts and flip-flops. I can't feel my toes.

Check out Public Square the center of downtown Cleveland. If you remember the movie "A Christmas Story" it was partially filmed there. The window scenes were at Higbee's (no longer exists) in the Terminal Tower. Also shot was the parade scene and inside Higbees was the santa scene. Also on the square is the Soldiers and Sailors monument. Dedicated to those who fought in the Civil War. Not sure where the "Christmas Story" house is located but tours are available (try Google). Just a few things to do.

Sweet!

I went to little Italy tonight. Got extra fattened with a big Eggplant Parmigiano. I barely made it back to the hotel room to explode all over my bathroom. Yumm.

I'm watching Star Trek tomorrow, since I can't do that at home (wife makes fun of Star Trek...and any other guy movie for that matter).

I'm a trekkie by birth...my dad was a trekkie so I was pretty much born into it. We aren't the convention-types...we just loved the original and especially TNG. I still DVR TNG re-runs on Sci-Fi and Spike (when they used to show them all the time).

This was just way weird...did they pretty much just create a new dimension/timeline that they can build from and throw out all the lore from the last 40 years of Roddenbery Star Trek?

Well, they did need to give the series new life. I mean, they were losing fans every day. They had to go big or go home.

That's okay though, this newest series called, "Enterprise" takes the entire timeline, craps on it, burns it, then throws it out the damn window. I hate it. This new movie in my opinion was closer to the timeline than the new series. Plus it was a lot more entertaining. But my deal is that I watched the original trek series, but I never got into it too much. So I honestly don't know how close it is to the timeline. I'm not a very good trek fan, but I do love the Shows

I've yet to even see an episode of "Enterprise".

I am eagerly awaiting the release of the MMO though.
