Wow. This is sickening.

I've heard of them forgetting to put the filter back in before, and all kinds of other horror stories. I would never let Wal-Hell TOUCH my car.

Not necessarily true, the place you get your oil filter could give you the wrong one and there goes your engine. Happened to my brother. Luckily he saw the oil pouring out and shut it off before there was damage. I take mine to the dealer. Every 5th oil change is free. They count it up on all three of my cars so every other round of oil changes I get one free one.

Most dealerships suck too. One journeyman and a half dozen so called apprentices (Lackeys) working, all on flat rate.

i really feel bad for you.. i hope they gonna pay to wash your driveway.
at wal mart they don't have mechanics with 15,20 years of experience .those are guys//more like kids who just got out from school and they text, pick their noses and watch their pubic hair grow.. if there is a supervisor/foreman he should of check the job of the apprentice after he was finished before giving you the keys..

pay more and go to a trusted place or learn how to do it yourself and take your time while doing it right.

You know there is a lot of valuable information in your owners manual. One of them is how to reset the oil life monitor.
Keep your receipts for the oil and filter and write it down in the back of the owners manual as to when and miles you changed it..... just call the oil life up on the DIC and push and hold the little button on the end of the turn signal stalk until you hear it go BEEP!
