So how much smaller is the trunk?

Hey All - Considering trading my 2010 SS for an SS Vert. Don't haul a lot of things or people (Have an Avalanche for that) but still need some space for my archery gear

Take your archery gear to a Chevy dealership and see if it fits in the trunk of a vert.

It's basically the same size as the coupe when the top is up. The difficulty is that the back seat does not fold down for a pass-through. Long items, like a bow, may be a problem for you. A golf bag is a bit of a trick, but then if I was going golfing, the top would be down and the bags in the back seat...

My bows are tear downs so this looks like it would fit either way

I had a 2010 coupe, I could fit two golf bags in the trunk but had to take the drivers out of the bags to fit them in. With the amount of space the top takes up in the trunk when it is down, there is no way you can fit two golf bags in the trucnk. I havent tried to see if one bag will fit in there yet though.

A golf bag will fit in the trunk but I have to take the driver and fairway woods out of it. In my 95 Firebird Vert, I could fit 3 bags in there with all the clubs. The trunk just isn't as deep as the 4th gens.

Just don't plan to put the top down with large items in the trunk. My experience is that if something bumps or even slightly puts pressure on the guard for the convertible roof in the trunk that you'll get an error message and you're top won't operate correctly.

As someone suggested, take your archery gear to the dealer, find a 'vert, put the top down FIRST and then see if your gear will fit in.

The "top guard" is retractable if you don't intend to put the top down, which will provide you w. more trunk space. However, it must be in place in order to put the top down, which will cut down considerably on the amount of trunk space. With top guard in place, you can also fit some things under it but NEVER on top of it.

I can't fit my clubs in the trunk of my vert. Could in my hardtop. The trunk is narrower. They won't even fit in the back seat. I put the passenger seat back and lay them on it. Works fine.
