Tick Performance Lvl 2 TR6060

Sold to a local buyer. Thanks all.

I bought a TR6060 from a member here to swap into my G8, but it turns out there are some major differences in the bellhousing / input shaft and I can't fit it into my car. The trans is a Tick Performance LvL 2 built trans with the 9310 output shaft and support bearing, carbon synchro blockers, bronze fork pads, etc.. Details are here: (http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...010-camaro-ss/)

From the previous owner, it had a total of 650 miles on the whole thing but he was upgrading to a 4L60 for racing. For now, the only thing I am selling is the transmission as I am going to buy a GXP transmission and swap that into my car. It is still unused and in the shipping container as we couldn't compare the parts until the transmission arrived.

Asking $2300 plus shipping. Hope this goes to a good home that can use it!

You can't change the bell housing and mid plate to fit your car also I think you would have to change the bearing at the flywheel to the newer style to accept the input shaft

Yes. The problem is that the front cover for the GXP trans isn't available from GM. They said the only way to get it was to get another trans. Even checked with the Australian parts guys and same answer. The bearing would have been easy

Thanks for chiming in. I wasn't going to name drop without your permission All, from 1stGM, the trans had about 8400 miles on it total and about 1000 miles on the trans after the Tick upgrade. You won't be disappointed!

It was about 160 pounds shipped when it came to me. Probably around $200 if using a business address.

In the spirit of full disclosure, my parts supplier and I are making one more attempt to get the right parts to swap this transmission into my car. IF that doesn't work, then I am putting all of the swap parts up for sale. The only thing I don't have is the driveshaft. I have the pedals, OEM and ZL1 clutch/slaves, GTO reservoir, OEM and MGW shifters, shift knobs, etc.

I am 75% certain that adapting the GXP transmission cover to this transmission is not going to work, but we wanted to get the part in our hands and look at it before making the decision to start over.

since I know the trans will bolt up to the back of the engine in your G8, if you use a Camaro clutch, slave cylinder, and pilot bearing, and modify the shift linkage, why wouldnt this swap work?

That could have been an option but I would have needed a custom driveshaft. I am going to measure that combination before I try to install the g8 trans cover on the camaro trans.

Oh and until further notice, the trans is no longer for sale. I am going to try a couple more options before throwing in the towel.
