we have determined its not in the tune!! we have spend over 8 hours on the dyno trying to fix this issue. Nick is working on a little something different so we will soon see if this fixes the problem..

BS.

I made 1090 rwhp with boost alone on that 4.2 KB and NEVER had a single problem with the c5 tb over the course of 6 months and 4,000 very hard miles.
The ls3 102mm tb closed at 800rwhp.
The C5 style 102mm tb is simple to tune and make idle correctly.

For everyone else. NW knew that this ls3 102mm tb had an issue closing under power for the past two years.

sam, it sounds like your a little pissed ...i understand where you coming from...but i think we need to give nick the benefit...he did come on board after we rasied the issue and has taken several back and modded , thinking that would correct the problem...he now has come back and offered refunds on the mods...and offered to buy any new tb,s back...now has stated he is working on some new idea,s since the modded did not work to satisfaction.. probaly easier to abandoned the ls3 tb or put a disclaimer for high hp, ...but nick seems pretty determined to fix this issue...he probably was not aware in the beginning that this was not such a widespread issue...more and more of us are expanding our hp and now he see,s that this is not isolated problem and is focusing on issue and trying to fix it..imo...i have time since i will not be roadbound for 4-6 weeks so i can wait for updates..

Do me a favor, share your experience and ill share mine,I'm glad the c5 stuff fixed your issue,it doesn't work for everyone so I want to make sure the members are aware there's a chance it won't work for them .

I have the factory computer out of my 09 V if you would like to try it. I am sure you probably don't want to go through the trouble since the new TB fixed your problem.

Just a bit of info guys, this is Not all on Nick Williams this Problem is a GM Computer problem, GM struggled with this on the COPO cars, I believe that may be why they went to the MEFI computer instead of the Camaro Computer system to get around it.

So if it is a computer problem why did a ls2 tb and a tpis 102 tb not close on me? A ported ls3 tb closed and so did 2 NW the old one and the new one. It's funny how some were saying it was in the tune and all of a sudden it's in the computer?

Am I missing something or does tuning software not access and change parameters inside the computer? ie...tune and computer are basically two different sides of the same coin.
