I tried going all black once with Plasti-Dip and I was too fussy about it and tore it off. My car is black and there's something to be said for the "murdered out" look but ultimately, I would like to keep a little contrast and be able to see the rim.
I think the dark silver in the 2nd pic would look sweet for my purposes. Looks almost like a gunmetal color. Do you happen to remember what paint was used? I've also considered just blacking out the inner areas between the spokes and inside the lug area. Sorta similar to the Hot Wheels design and I've seen it done on at least one other car on here. The real question is how much is it going to cost? I've got curb damage on both my passenger rims too that would need to be fixed at the same time. Don't mean to hijack the thread, just pondering out loud, so to speak.

The 2nd pic was powdercoated with a color used on Toyota vehicles. It was 100 a wheel to powder coat them.
The black did feel sometimes like something was missing Im real happy with polished. Looks better in person

I don't like the blacked out look of pic#3, looks like someone has stolen your wheels and you car is sitting on blocks.
IMO, silver is the toughest color car to select wheels for...
