427 engine, what to expect......

So, my friend just finished his 427 engine with a TVS2300. According to the dyno pull, it's making 13psi and 621rwhp and 598torq. We think that the numbers are way low. What do you guys think? We need some feedback before going back to the original setup expectations.

Thanks!!!

I have heard that the 427 is not ideal for boost but I have see numbers way higher as well.

Supercharger might be running out of steam for a 427? Especially since its a 2.3L. Dont most 2.3's max out around 17-18 psi on a 376 ci?

Im guessing this is about right as this is too much engine for the TVS2300.

What?? who told you that? You mean the Maggie is not optimized for the big cubes of the motor. I am pretty surprised this SC was able to pump 13 psi into the motor. Sounds like this particular 427 does not breath as well as it should. Heads? Cam? Exhaust? Need more details.

13 PSI into a well built 427 should get you at least 750RWHP. I am hoping to get 12 PSI out of my D1SC with my HKE built LSX 427 that was built for boost. I figure on about 800rwhp if i can get the 12 Lbs boost to the motor. Will know in a couple weeks. Erik is hand delivering the motor next week

The problem I see is the Maggie is too small for the motor as a 427 works great for boost when matched to your blower. I'm putting 26lbs thru my 427 and still have lots more boost to get out of my F2.
