Yes, that's what I have told him, a 427 with 13psi should be easy on the 700rwhp

I think he was assuming a 4.0" crank with the extra bore/honing(4.125) to get to the 427 cubes. Sure a 4.125" crank wont comprimise anything. I am no expert though

Yea, i know you're a boost guy and running the longer 4.125" crank is not too boost friendly. NA, no issues as far as i know. But again...what the heck do i know. Erik is supposed to deliver my motor either this week or next.

Long crank lets the piston come way out of the bore so it may have issues.
Nothing wrong with a 427 and boost. I have a 427 with a Ysi, makes great power. The 2300 is a very small blower that much motor. Then again it should still be over 700hp.

Need all the specs and deets before speculating.
One simple rule to use is that 15 psi is effectively double the air. So a 400rwhp engine + 15 psi could in a simple way make 400 x 2 = 800rwhp. 620rwhp sounds a bit low but maybe it's the pulley combo, maybe it's the cam, maybe a loose converter, compression, could be a lot of things.

It says he has an ATI Dampner! Wouldn't that actually slow the blower down?

Check the cr of the Engine... With e.g. 9 to 9.5 it's not gonna make a great deal of power at such 'low' boost, I guess....
