I have learned not to stereotype these past years.. and feel good about how diffrent people are nicer and will go out of the way to help others if you give them a chance and get to know them.. :flag2::flag2:

So... to reiterate the answer to your question, Tahseen (and to further extrapolate my simple "what Jay said" reply) the exhaust piping is what is being referred to (in the context from header/manifold collectors through the crossover, through the mufflers, and out the back).

Now, this could apply to the exhaust tips I suppose... You'll want an exhaust tip at least as large as your exhaust pipe diameter.

Thanks for the detail.. what threw me off is that article mentioning "open pipe" and in layman terms all i knew was the pipe is open at the end (the tip) LOL
I am in contact with this gentel men rtcat600man (dont know the real name) and he sugessted me to get the magnaflow resonated x pipe when i install the OBX long tube headers to fix the rasp issue and better flow.. and they are 2.5' inch.. and not 3.5 like my exhaust tip
so it all makes sense now
