Did I buy the right things?

Hey there

I have a '13 2LT Vert and I bought the FARK kit, a JL 700/5 amp and wiring kit. Am I going to be able to hook this all up and just replace the existing amp to get some more power to the speakers? I read that the amp was the weak portion of the system and want to see if I can squeeze some more oomph out of it. Down the line I plan on replacing the stock speakers and throwing a sub in there, but I just want to see if what I have will currently work..

Thanks

That should work, I got the same amp and fark kit. Did you get a sub? The sound is night and day when changing the amp and adding a sub.

I've got a 500W amp and 12" sub in a box that I had in my old car. I've toyed with the idea of putting that in but I'm concerned with space in the trunk of the vert.

why not go ahead and get the speakers at the same time? I've never seen the point of putting a sub in a closed/ sealed trunk, all you can using hear is the trunk lid rattling. With a hatchback or under a seat they're great.

The trunk space sucks but with the stealth box or drop in box you are still able to some room left.

Maybe, but why not just pull it out and replace it with one you like.

I'm thinking about that. When I take it to the shop tomorrow I'll see what they have price wise for 10s.

Where you already got the FARK from Steve, you might want to check out his vert friendly stuff. I know he did a sub improvement, but its been a while and I can't remember what all went into it.

I just ordered the amp plate and the plate for the subwoofer to be installed behind the seat. Hoping for as stealth of an install as possible. Hopefully I can get the items by tomorrow. I tried calling ******** (and left a VM) to see if we can get the items flown down here for tomorrow, but I doubt it.
