As a fantasy, I'd have to go with a Lotus. If we're talking a true alternative to the Camaro, WRX STI, EVO, Solstice GXP, Cobalt SS, and Mazdaspeed 3 are all in a tight running for me.

1) Ariel Atom
2) KTM Crossbow 3) Lotus Super Se7en with Turbo-Ecotec 4) Saturn Sky Redline Coupe (assuming they make one) with GMPP add ons to get it above 300hp (easy!) 5) Solstice GXP Coupe 6) Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 10 I've learned my lesson with my current MINI Cooper S... beyond 200hp FWD sucks A$$. No matter how good the chassis is, it's just not that much fun if its FWD. Right now my MINI is pushing 205hp and its right at the limit of being usable... I'd take pretty much any turbo car as long as its RWD or AWD. ~LSx

fastest 4 banger . . . fastest! I wouldn't be surprised if the aveo could outrun one of those.

I bet if you pulled out the motor and dropped in a turbo ecotec, it would make one hell of a fun car.
