I don't know...I actually really liked it. Red Wedding would really be hard to top, however I'm not sure it would have been a good idea to end it like that. Some pretty big things happened this episode, but more from a political standpoint.

I kept waiting for the holy crap moment, which never came. I'm going to have to rewatch the scene with Sandor as I didn't catch what he was doing.....

Not as big of an ending as Seasons 1 & 2, but a good one none the less.

Now to get through all the books before Season 4!!! I find them a slow read, definitely not like others that I just can't put down...only a few chapters at a time...

It's dense reading, that's for sure. I haven't started reading yet, and I have no idea what the Robb/Grey Wind thing that people are referring to is though.

OK, that's what I was thinking, but they didn't really allude to it much. I did watch the episode last night as it aired. Wifey, my buddy (the one who's read all the books) and I were waiting for the "OH SNAP!" moment, but the ending was "mehhhh." You never close out the season of a show like they did unless you're ending the series. I guarantee that there are people who are not looking forward to next season as much as they would have been had the season ended with Robb getting stabbed, but before Caitlyn was killed. They could have started the new season with Caitlyn dying and then introduced the rest of the events in the last episode while just squeezing that first five minutes in as the season opener in fall.

I will be watching the next season anyways because it's still a GREAT series, but I am not AS excited as I could have been.

I love the little things they put into this show...like this giggling at Podrick. Looks like he's having a good time in King's Landing.

I'm re-reading the books, however I don't remember it ever being mentioned. It's still a funny addition though!

The only thing significant about Podrick is his last name is Payne. He's the cousin of Ilyn Payne who was the Royal executioner. He cut off Ned stark's head and had no tongue.

His way with the girls comes in to play later when he's trying to find someone.
