Sparks SS emblem trouble?
Anyone have any issues with sparks emblems oxidizing? I ordered the black ss logo for my trunk and every time it rains or gets wet it almost turns white. Any suggestions on how to keep this from happening?

clean it with rubbing alcohol, tape it off and spray clear it with 2-3 light, thin coats...use a cleaner wax to polish it...
better yet take it to a body shop for their spray gun... this will solve the problem PERMANENTLY

Mine will turn so I hit it with Mothers polish and it comes up nice

Man I was going to post something about this too. Just noticed this recently. A little spray down with some adams and elbow grease and it comes off. Pretty lame for how much they cost.

I have no problem. Have had it for 2 1/2 yrs. No problem with mine and its a DD too.

Wow! I just ordered the red & black SS for my trunk not 10 minutes ago.
Guess I will just keep it WAXED-UP!  I love the SS on my grill, that's why I went back and ordered one for the rear!

Thanks for the tips, I contacted sparks restorations the company that sells them and he basically said to keep it waxed and he will send me a new one because I sent him a pic and for $135 this shouldn't happen
