Yeah, I have never opened or touched any fuse boxes. I can't wait until tomorrow to see what excuse they use to try to get out of giving me my money back.

I agree with this - ask them to point out the section in the owners manual that tells at what interval fuses need to be cleaned.

If there is carbon build up in your throttle body gm isn't going to pay to clean it. If there are rock chips on you gills gm isn't going to pay to fix it. Any kind of corrosion to things that causes a failure it most likely not covered. If you have a dirty air filter do you think that would be covered? Each issue could be argued that gm's design caused the initial problem. What operation code do you use to submit to gm for a dirty fuse box? My point is if that would've fixed the issue then I can see gm's point on not covering it. Being as it didn't he should go back and not pay. Remember it's not the dealership screwing you on something if gm won't cover it. There are plenty of examples of things that gm won't cover due to environmental causes and "dust" and "dirt" Are environmental causes.

UPDATE: I went back to the dealership today, and spoke with the service manager who happened to be a very nice and reasonable guy. I explained to him what happened on the first visit and he said since the original fix did not work I would be reimbursed my $98 dollars. I gave him the GM Service Bulletin number I found and he looked it up in the system printed it out and I now have a new instrument cluster on the way all for free due to my extended warranty should be at the dealership Thursday.
