We had a gulley washer here tonight causing some localized flooding. We're OK here though.

Discovered Claire's car needed new wiper blades.

Welcome aboard Sidewinder! This is a good place to hang out with some great comrads.

Good morning on this long holiday weekend. I suspect some are on the road & others are already at their holiday destination. I don't have any big plans. Just visiting with family locally, a little shopping & getting ready for next weekend's LS Fest. Have a safe & enjoyable holiday weekend everyone.

Nice thing that fundraiser. Good luck with it. Too far for me to go on short notice but hope it raises a lot of $
Was a short trip of 140 miles but because Dan who got the dog is Camaro5 and the driver of the "Freedom Fighter Camaro" Kelly is Camaro5 I thought Camaro5 needed a few more. Unless I'm mistaken the 3 of us were it. Along the 140 miles home last night I did lower the green and gold bug population of Wisconson along with a Best of Show trophy. A very good organization was raising the funds.

VERY Nice!

We took the Yukon & Daddy's Girl to swap wheels & got some new tires for Daddy's girl with the former Yukon wheels. Here are a couple of pics of Daddy's girl with her new shoes:

Looks great Jan!

Spent all day "paint correcting" my wife's car. I'm SO tired.

Well its my last day of vacation do to fun stuff. Tomorrow and Tuesday I will be driving back home. There is a Nascar themed go cart track not far from the campground maybe I will go try that today as I would like to stay off the beach during the heat of the day. I got a bit too much sun yesterday and have a minor sunburn that I don't want to make worse. I hope everyone has fun the rest of the holiday weekend.

Good morning crew. It is a rainy morning here. Heading out to Mike's parents today for a cookout. It will be fine I expect as it is supposed to clear to just a few scattered showers for later. I will go by & visit my dad too. I wish I could get him out of that place. Have a nice day.

I had a good day. We picked up my dad at noon & took him with us to my in-law's house for the cookout. It was great. Sometimes he can be really picky about his food & kind of fussy. But today he was in a good mood. He tried new things (German Coleslaw & German potato salad) & actually liked them. He ate a lot. My Brother-in-law is an awesome BBQ "chef". He made ribs, chicken wings & brats. My mother-in law made the german dishes, corn-on-the-cob & Mac & cheese. Then for dessert, watermellon, cheese cake, German macaroons, Ice cream & home whipped whiping cream. It was 6:00 when we took daddy back to the assisted living facility. He did not get overtired, disoriented, irritable or even really seem like he had altzheimer's except for sometimes having a hard time formulating his thoughts or remembering things he otherwise would.

I just got to thinking this morning that the in-laws house if not that far from the assisted living place & if there was a problem we could just take him back. I called & asked my mother-in-law what she thought & she said to bring him. It was only a high of 84 today after the morning showers so pleasant to sit outside around the pool after lunch. We walked around my father-in-law's wood working shop & his garden. Dad used to like to do woodworking too & always gardened so he enjoyed that. I got to spend some good quality time with daddy & he enjoyed being out & about, had a good meal & enjoyed talking with Mike's dad. I am sooooooooooooo glad we did this.
