Unhappy Maintenance of Leather interior

I recently got my Camaro and i got it as a certified pre-owned 2012 with the 2lt tim and RS package, ive noticed that my driver seat is already starting to crack a bit from the left bolster i just want to know what products you guys use on the leather to keep it from cracking, peeling , and fading.Or is my best best just buying car seat covers.

I use Meguires gold class leather cleaner/conditioner. It keeps it soft and supple and I think its good for maintaining the current condition but it wont bring anything back to new.

Try to avoid crushing the bolsters when getting in and out of the car. My passenger seat has more creases in it than the drivers because of this.

well thats my $.02

Thanks for the input, so there's no going back to "like new" leather? :(

I use Adams leather cleaner and conditioner. Works excellent!!

If it is cracked I think you may be SOL, only thing you can do is prevent it from cracking further.

In my research of my issue (took a magic eraser to my seat; BAD) it appears the seats are top dyed with a clear matte top coat on them. I suspect a majority of your issue lies with the top coat cracking. This is much like a finish on furniture. You can minimize any further cracking but to correct you need to refinish, ie replace the seat covers.

Cheers
K

Your leather isn't leather.

Use any plastic/interior cleaner or conditioner you like. Something with UV protection is good.

Using a true leather treatment won't hurt anything, but it won't do anything either.

I prefer Werkstat Satin Prot for all interior hard surfaces.

Thanks for all the input, so there's no way i can maybe dye the cracks and put some type of liquid or conditioner that will prevent it from crcking and peeling.? And if not then is there something to restore the faded leather or prevent fading?

In my opinion, I don't think you're really going to fix that. You could try to dye it to make it less noticeable if you wanted.

Just protect it from getting worse as best you can.
