I'm aware that northern ares have it far worse than this, but this just isn't supposed to happen here! Anyone else have pictures of their frozen beauties to share?
at least you got a cool avatar from it

Actually the winter we are having now was a normal winter 15 or 20 years ago. We may have just gone through a cycle of mild winters and are now going to have a few colder ones.

with black, i woiuld be concerned with salt on the car and washing it off without scratching the paint up. i know about microfibre towles and using 2 bucket method,k but that is what concerns me on driving mine. i keep it in garage unless roads are dry

This is very true, I remember here in Chicago, are winters in the 80's were like this all the time for awhile. we got soft here with all this nice weather in the last ten years. I laughed twice this last two weeks when I got in my car in the morning and the temp on the dashboard registered minus 19 and minus 16 regular temps without windchill on my way to work, with a few inches of snow on the ground to help make it interesting.

I plan to move to your sister state to the north once I'm done with school. What you guys are going through now is a rare event, so dealing with it once every 10+ years is worth leaving this sultry, muggy, humid state. Florida is a swamp with buildings, and OMG I am soooooo tired of the rain.

Rest assured, our car's clearcoat is in danger too. Nothing like a 2 minute shower followed by direct sunlight to etch hundreds of water spots into your clearcoat and end up making it look like a leopard.
