Good luck. It is a classic.
But it's NOT a Dodge, it's an "SRT". Reliability problems instantly solved.lol

Thankfully you didn't say you were trading it for a Silverado, which we seem to get a lot of around here.

Enjoy the Viper. That may be on my list someday too.

Ha ha! I use to work at the plant and hated it when those things came to my station in the body shop because they required different rear panels and you had to climb in the back of them to attach them and get all cut up even with kevlar sleeves. Ugliest thing you ever saw!

I'm just kidding. That's a cool car. If I wasn't stuck on Chevy's and in particular the Camaro then that might have been on my radar as an option as well.

Dude, the "old" 2010 Viper beats a ZR1... ZL1 isn't even in the ball park sitting at 47th spot. Almost 30 seconds slower at the Ring compared to the old Viper. Vipers are 500+ lbs lighter, sit lower. Stop sniffing glue.

Nice car, the wife wants a viper albeit a little bit older than yours. I've been trying to talk her into a ZL1 or CTS-V, but she says viper or mustang so I guess I will cave to the viper someday. I could stand a viper in the stable, and in the end it's cheaper since I would have to buy a new house to live in if she got the mustang .

I don't think they have an official time yet. I know Chevrolet says the new Z06 is already faster than the ZR1 which is 12th.

That's not a "Regular" Viper if i'm not mistaken. Can someone enlighten me on the difference between the ACR Viper and the "Regular" SRT-10 Viper. I thought the ZR1 was faster.

The American Club Racing (ACR) model was introduced in 1999. This model had suspension and engine enhancements focused on maximizing performance in road racing and autocross environments. Horsepower was, by the use of K&N air filters and smooth intake tubes, bumped to 460 hp (370 kW) in these models, while torque increased to 500 lb·ft (678 N·m). Weight was reduced by over 50 pounds (23 kg) by stripping the interior and removing other non-essential items such as the fog lamps (replacing them with brake ducts). The new stiffer, adjustable suspension removed another 14 pounds (6.4 kg) These models, which also have engine and handling modifications, has an "ACR" badge and 20-spoke BBS wheels.
A new ACR was added to the Viper line-up after the 2008 model year. Its upgrades were more drastic than the original, including street-legal racing tiresTemplate:Michelin Pilot Sport Cups which Michelin describes as "Ultra-High Performance Sport tires", two-piece brake rotors, adjustable suspension, and significant aerodynamic revision. No engine modifications were made, so power and torque remain at 600 hp (450 kW) and 560 lb·ft (760 N·m) as in the standard SRT-10. The ACR is street-legal, and is similar to the MOPAR Viper that Dodge displayed at various auto shows. Weight was also decreased by 40 lb (18 kg) by using the "Hardcore Package", without AC, radio, speakers, amplifier, trunk carpet, hood pad or tire-inflator. Its aerodynamic upgrades produce up to 1000 pounds (4.45 kN) of downforce at 150 mph (240 km/h), or roughly 10 times the downforce the standard Viper SRT-10 can produce at the same speed. The interior was upgraded only by the addition of a beacon-tripped lap timer (Hardcore Edition Only).
The Viper ACR was built alongside the standard SRT-10 at the Conner Avenue plant in Detroit. The aerodynamic components were produced by Plasan Carbon Composites and assembled to the vehicle by Prefix Corporation located in Rochester Hills, Michigan.[36]
On September 14, 2011, on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, a 2010 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR completed the sixth fastest production, street-legal car lap ever recorded with a 7:12.13 elapsed time.[37] Chrysler's press release claimed a new production car lap record, although three faster laps had been recorded more than two years earlier, albeit by very specialized low production vehicles.

Thanks I knew there were some differences. I was too damn lazy to google it.
