Need some HELP!

I recently purchased 2014 Camaro ZL1 and had to change my rear right tire month after. I took it to the Chevy Dealership and got my tire replaced and i found out that there were several scratches on my stock rim. Asked service manager and he says since they had to re-balance the tire/rim and had to remove the weigh off that was attached to the rim and also mentioned that this is a normal procedure. Then I asked him what's the point of having black rims and he said he doesn't know. Can someone please respond me back if had had similar issues? thank you

I had a local tire place put a set of drag radials on my rear wheels and they did they same thing. They payed to have all of my wheels repowder coated. A person can take the old weights off if they are carefull without scratching the wheels. Problem is they use a metal screwdriver to scrap them off on a aluminum wheel, doesnt take a genius to know whats going to happen. A plastic puddy knife would take them off without causing damage.

They were either in a hurry or just lazy in removing them and nicked your paint. I would not accept that. I have had fronts and rears replaced at separate times with no scratches.

I used to work at a tire shop and we would soak them with a chemical to loosen the grip first.

If scratching your car is considered normal for them, you need to find a new dealer. They obviously don't care.

NO way would i except that. Go to the owner . If he dose not fix it. let him know you plan on calling GM and also plan on let people know on the web what they did to your 60,000 car. GM is big into customer surveys right now . I don't think any dealer want a bad review

Just go to Home Depot , get a .99 cents spry can of flat black
Get it done and move on , it's no a battle that's worth to fight
That way you will have more firepower when needed .
