3rd gear issue

So my 2013 manual is having this issue with 3rd gear. I'll be doing like 30-35 and put my foot down and it like drops power for 1/2 second and then picks up power and goes like mad. Only mods are ported vmax tb and roto-fab. If I run 2nd longer or don't foot to floor it's fine. Any ideas. Need a tune maybe or?

Sounds like a dead spot in the map..get it on a dyno and check the A/F ratio and see whats its doing.

Its not an auto so it can't be adapts mine does stuff like that too. Pull both ecm fuses over night and then run it through the full rpm range driving slow and fast the next day it should be fine. If you continue having the problem take it to the dealer and have them reflash your ecm. This could also be a dirty MAF

At 30-35 rpms are kinda low for a full blown stomp. At that speed I'm in 3rd just cruising. But I had mine do that before like at 2200-2300rpms just started out of the blue a few mins after refueling. I burned up the gas in town and refueled somewhere else and it went away.

Auto's have the same issues if not worse, you drive it aggressively for a day, using the paddles after the trans has been reset, it picks up bad habits like causing surging between 1500-2000rpm because the torque converter clutch kicks in. (Happened to me)

This happened to me with my 2012 Mustang GT and it had to do with the air box. I had just put a K&N filter in. The box wasn't shut completely and the air flow was off and I think set off the MAF sensor (think that is what it is called). I'm sure it's airflow related, as manuals don't hesitate like that. Autos do.

I'd check all hose clamps for tightness and integrity of seal on all the intake tubes to eliminate a possible vaccum leak.

Yeah I'm gonna mess around with it today. Fuses were pulled last night. New tank of gas and a can of sea foam to clean any dirty shit out. So I'll check all my clamps and hoses and see if any are lose. Make sure the throttle body is tight. Clean the maf off. Go stomp on it for a while and piss a bunch of people off.

What did you clean the MAF with? I got this really awesome stuff that washed out my MAF and it worked great.
