put on wax or a sealant or you basically just wasted all the time you spent

Nice work! Clay barring is one of those "AHA" moments, for sure!

Be sure to get some kind of wax or sealant on there as soon as you can. After you clay, your paint is essentially "naked."

Who's got the other camaro?

Clay bar definitely takes out a great amount of contamination. If you have problems often with orange specks or they are too hard to take out with a clay bar, pick up the product called Iron-X. It will do wonders for removing iron particles (what those orange specs are) especially when contrasted on a white car.

Yeah I am in progress as well with a summit white one (my thread is a couple down from yours). Real big PITA.

Like you, for me, the back of the car was easily the worse.

Good to hear. Basically when your car is delivered to your area it comes on a train, all that rail dust embeds in the paint and starts to corrode (rust), hence the orange color. Iron-X helps to get out even the particles you can't see, basically dissolves them.

Enjoy the clean car, that's the best feeling when driving around.

I clayed a friends car over the weekend, she did not believe that it would do anything. Later in the day I saw her rubbing her hand on the roof, she was amazed at how smooth it was after we finished waxing.

Here's a example of using clay and follow up with Iron X which is a must for everyone.

Helping a friend out.

Never owned a white car, but my wife did recently get a new white Pathfinder. I see the orange dots on the car and while they do scrub off with effort, they are difficult to remove. What the heck is it? I assume they are on my other cars as well, they just are easy to see on the white paint.

When I did my Summit White Camaro awhile back I used the Iron X and I was surprised to see all the purple spots that where on this car after claying, washing etc. Be sure and rinse well after using it.

Careful though this stuff should be used in awhile ventilate area.
