I rarely see it but I just go 1-3 when I do. I'm not flogging the engine with the 1-4 mess

Sadly it would never have been needed if it were not for the pieces of garbage in our government. No good comes from those useless beings.

Exactly, I drive in stop and go traffic often so I can't exactly always hammer it down

I understand that it is trying to help me save fuel but I bought a v8 so I am not as concerned with fuel usage. I guess what I am wondering is if there is a way that I can turn off that feature. I looked at the manual and it says to just do the shift to avoid damaging transmission. Typically I just get on the gas a little harder to get above 2000 rpm and that's how I avoid it. Is there a chip I can buy or a way to bypass the annoying 1st to 4th shift? sorry if this post has been done before, I couldn't find it :/ thanks for the help
We can always tune around that for you, it's fairly simple!

Exactly. $20 eliminator is cheaper than $1500+ guzzler tax

Uh...it locks out 2nd gear. what do you do? Carry around a little mallet to jam the lever into second when it "suggests" it?

It actually blocks 3rd gear out too, but by the time you get third it may have stopped trying to do it.

If you wait long enough to shift or sometimes I used to see it pop up but I guess timing allowed it to get into gear before the solenoid or most likely I waited long enough to shift and it opened the gate back up.

Keep in mind that the eliminator just disables the solenoid in the transmission. The message will still come up on your DIC. A tune will disable the solenoid and eliminate the message. But a tune will also void your powertrain warranty.

And if you install the elimimator and then you can't get it to go in reverse, you've installed it on the wrong connector on the transmission.

Apply more pressure to the gas pedal... there, problem solved.
