Yea, I was only going 20 mph, but the truck coming the opposite direction was going in the 30 range. The truck had a big steel front end too.

And hopefully I can. A lightly used ls3 is what im trying for. Ill definitely let yall know. Thanks for the support.

Wow.. Glad to hear you're ok!!
IIWU, I'd go back with another Camaro. I rented a 2014 Mustang for a week business trip and the thing drove like brick, the interior was cheap looking also which didn't help things. I put almost 1000 miles on it and I wasn't impressed. I was glad to get home to my Camaro.
Your wreck is also a testament to how well these are designed.

Man, somebody was looking out for you cause that wreck looked serious! It's even better you were able to walk away from that. Show us pics of your SS when you find it

The turnimg is not like the camaro. Being a v8 it is soooo much faster. The torque is nice to have. Idk how to drag race manuals being this is my first manual. It has 39k miles and ita not that track pack one :(

Any input on the mustang manual transmission? I've wanted a manual for awhile now but the few people I've talked to have told me to stay away from the manual in the 5.0 due to it being prone to failure

At the risk of being called a blasphemer, I spent a week last month upgrading my brother in-law's 2011 Mustang 5.0 GT convertible with 6spd stick (trailing arms, exhaust, front and rear sways, CAI, bigger TB, tune, etc..) He sez it "transformed" the car.

He had put an aftermarket shifter on (sorry, don't know which one), but man, that thing shifted so much better than my Chevy I could have come home and traded the same day.

I haven't heard of any issues with the gearbox myself, but my experience was very, very good.

O.K. Go ahead and stone me...!

BTW- enjoy the Stang Mr. Vibe!

The failures I was told about included performance driving so I don't know if it has something to do with that. I was told this while conversing with a few people at the local track. They mentioned how owners were having problems with their trans as they upped the power on their cars.
